This year's event is in Ailefroide, in the High Dauphiné Alps which is one of France's foremost areas for all mountain activities.

Cycling Insurance

Members who take part in road cycles organised by the club should note that this activity is NOT covered by the club insurance policy.
You are strongly advised, therefore, to arrange alternative insurance cover for this activity.

Notes

 

  • Leader marked * responsible for bringing KISU x 2 and Club First Aid Kit x 2 on walk
  • Please notify a leader by Thursday night before the walk and leave a contact number.
  • Walks may be cancelled or relocated depending on weather conditions.
  • Meeting time for all walks is 7.45am in the car park at the rear of Roslevan Stores on Tulla Road.
  • Please notify a leader in the car park on the morning of a walk of any medical condition you have that they should be aware of.

Equipment Advice

List of minimum gear required

  • Hiking boots with ankle support
  • Waterproof jacket and pants
  • Hat and gloves
  • Fleece/warm jersey
  • Walking trousers/tracksuit pants
  • Absolutely no jeans allowed on walks.
  • Dryflo/Synthetic is better than cotton
  • Basic personal first aid kit
  • Food and water
  • A rucksack lined with plastic refuse bag
  • Change of clothes and towel to be left in car
